Tis the season...

Well, it's almost upon us - Christmas, that is and, to be frank, if it's not done now it won't be! We're all thoroughly looking forward to spending time with family and catching up with friends and generally chilling out.
I don't tend to get terribly stressed with Christmas preparations but seem to be even more relaxed this year as I have had to organised and pace myself, but also because I've not got too involved at all with any Christmas activities at church - all of this because of my silly knee problems.

Anyway, I'm just looking forward now to Paul finishing work so we can all get festive together........

I love that Chris and Ola won Strictly Come Dancing last night - not that I watched it all as we had friends over for supper - but I'm going to really enjoy watching it later, curled up on the sofa, away from the cold!!!!
Chris and Ola have been such brilliant entertainment - so enthusiastic and hard working and just great fun. Chris might not have been the most technically 'good' dancer but to me he just epitomised everything that this show is all about - good, clean, family fun and an entertaining tv programme.
Won't do his career much harm either!

What am I going to do now that all the reality tv shows have finished? Expect I'll survive!!!!! ;-}

X Factor

I am so chuffed that Joe won the X Factor last night - we've been backing him for some time now. It was a great weekend on the telly - but Sunday night was just brilliant - especially as we got to share it with about 30 friends at our house. What a great way to kick off our Christmas celebrations!!! It was such a fun evening and VERY loud!! The Gibson family certainly enjoyed every minute of it - so thank you to those of you (you know who you are!!) who came, shared and made it such a great night.....

Strange but true....

Oh my goodness - did you see this thing on the news last night about a 75 year old British woman who has won the Spanish equivalent of Britain's Got Talent with her acrobatic salsa dancing????????? I can't work out whether to be scared or amazed!!!!

I went out shopping yesterday for scarves and gloves for the girls as they've been complaining about being cold on their walk to and from school. So off they went this morning kitted out in nice warm woollyness - but Jess got her words mixed up (bit of a worry for a Yr 11!!!!) and called her mittens - muffins. Love it!

Blessed

I am so blessed - despite all kinds of stuff that I can't control or might not like -I am so blessed. I have all I need and more besides and I need to keep reminding myself of that fact.
